Zeolites are well-known microporous catalysts involved in many industrial applications. Their microporosity yet impedes diffusion of bulky molecules. To overcome this drawback, zeolites with hierarchical bimodal porosity, e. g. micropores and mesopores, developed. In context, it is important to develop/use methods able evaluate accurately the textural properties mesoporous zeolites. t-Plot can be theory used for determining micro- mesopore surface areas pore volumes. However, classical t-plot analysis overestimates underestimates micropore volumes micro-/mesoporous materials. Measurements performed mechanical mixtures FAU-Y MCM-41 allows provide corrections, which up date limited FAU-Y.
